We welcome students from around the world to our program for academic and cultural learning opportunities at the Nippon Academy.
Established in 1990, we are four Japanese language schools and two Vocational Schools situated in Maebashi-City and Takayama-Village of Gunma Prefecture, just 62 miles away from Central Tokyo, where about fifteen hundred students from over twenty countries learn Japanese language and culture in Japan.

The “Gunma Royal Hotel” is a stylish Luxury Hotel built in 1975 located in Maebashi, the capital city of Gunma–Prefecture.Nippon Language Academy was established in 1991 as an international foreign language school by the Gunma Royal Hotel and Suzuki Dressing School Inc. Later on, they opened four additional schools: Nippon Japanese Language School, Nippon Cultural Academy and Nippon Omotenashi (= Hospitality) Vocational School.
Japanese Language and Culture Study Program
We offer courses for all levels of Japanese language ability from beginner to advanced.Intensive seven-days, two-weeks and month-long courses are available, and have been designed for students who want to improve their communication skills and experience Japanese culture through a variety of Japanese language, traditional art classes, cooking, activities, field trips, and also friendships with our students.

Nippon Academyでは、７日間~４週間の『短期日本語・日本文化学習コース』を夏季に開講しています。皆さんのレベルに応じて初心者から上級者まで、あらゆる能力の日本語コースを提供しています。期間も目的応じてコースもアレンジができます。日本文化体験を通じてコミュニケーション能力を向上はもとより、日本をより深く理解してもらうことがプログラムの意図するところです。またフィールドトリップや本学院の留学生や日本の学生との交流も日本での良き思い出となることでしょう。

Grading Criteria [Grade Evaluation Criteria]
Assessment will be based on a combination of class attendance, presentation and final exams.If your attendance rate is less than 70%, you will automatically receive an “F” grade.You will receive 3 semester credits or 4.5 quarter credits by attending more than 80% of classes and achieving more than 70% in your academic performance.
授業の出席、参加意欲、試験とプレゼンテーションが成績に含まれます。70％以上の出席がないと自動的に不合格となります。80％以上の出席率、かつ70％以上の成績評価を取得することで単位が付与されます

Upon completion of the program, transcripts will be issued and sent out at the end of August for the summer program.Credit systems differ depending on your schools, and students are advised to consult with their credit regarding memorandum of agreement (MOA).
プログラム終了後、修了書を発行し、成績証明書の発送は1~２ヵ月後の予定です。単位認定について大学ごとに取り決め（MOA）が異なりますので、プログラム参加ご検討前に必ず自分の所属学校のアドバイザーに相談してください。
